Upon arrival first thing I noticed was how dirty the water had gotten since the past friday, maybe 6" visibilty. Threw cranks, spinnerbaits and 3/4 CC spot in 9'...with no success. Headed over to Tic-Tac @ 8'and it was also very dirty ....and had the same results. Managed to find some milky looking water in-infront of the islands. We caught a few smallmouths each last half hour, we headed in at 7:15pm.....hope this corner cleans up by Friday...
I was looking forward to taking my family out fishing for perch sunday and I thought the lake would of been some what cleaned up but I was wrong. Headed to my best perch area and got three minnows wet....the water looked like a timmies "triple..triple"....
We went for a cruise over to XE2 and the water was the same. It was a little bumpy and windy so in order to fill the little ones appetite for fish catching I pulled into one of the slips at Mitchells Bay, the kids ended up catching a few gills on gulp maggots .....we had lunch, shared a few laughs and headed home after a few hours.....there will be better fishing days coming...
